Your Behavior is Being Measured
Somewhere today, someone is sitting across from a lawyer who can tell them exactly what the law says, and nothing about how to behave for the next six months while the case plays out. Somewhere else, that same person might be sitting across from a therapist who can help them feel better about the conflict, but who cannot tell them what a judge, a mediator, or an HR investigator will actually do with their behavior. Nobody in the room is covering the space in between. That space is where most conflicts are actually won or lost, and almost nobody is talking about it directly. It does not show up on an intake form. It does not get its own appointment. It just sits there, quietly deciding outcomes, while everyone in the room focuses on the parts of the conflict that are easier to name.
