Mediation
A neutral third party, a structured conversation, and a resolution both sides can live with.
Most disputes don't need a courtroom. They need someone in the room who isn't on either side.
I mediate workplace, family, and business disputes as a neutral third party. My job is not to decide who's right. It's to run a process where both parties can be heard, understand what the other actually needs, and reach an agreement they've built themselves rather than one imposed on them.
What I bring that most mediators don't is a behavioral read on the room. I've spent my career analyzing how people behave in conflict, and that shapes how I run a session: recognizing when someone is entrenched versus posturing, when a stated position isn't the real interest, and when the conversation needs to slow down instead of push forward.
This is for you if:
- You're in a workplace dispute your organization wants resolved without escalation
- You're in a family or co-parenting conflict and want to avoid the cost and damage of litigating it
- You're in a business or partnership dispute where the relationship still matters
- Your attorney has recommended mediation, or a court has ordered it
- You've tried to resolve it directly and the conversation keeps breaking down
How it works
Before the session. Each party completes a brief intake so I understand the dispute, the history, and what each side is hoping to walk away with. Where appropriate, I hold a short private conversation with each party first.
The session. A structured conversation, joint and private as needed. I manage the process, keep it productive, and ensure both parties are actually heard. Sessions typically run three to four hours.
The outcome. If you reach agreement, I document the terms in a written memorandum of understanding you can take to your attorneys for formalization. If you don't, you'll leave with a clearer understanding of where the gaps are and what it would take to close them.
Investment
Half-day session (up to 4 hours): $1,400
Full-day session (up to 8 hours): $2,600
Hourly, for shorter or follow-up sessions: $350
Fees are typically split evenly between parties unless otherwise agreed. Intake, preparation, and the written memorandum of understanding are included.
Confidentiality
Mediation is a confidential process. What is said in session is not disclosed outside it, and I do not serve as a witness or provide testimony about the mediation in any subsequent proceeding.
I am a neutral. I do not represent either party, I do not provide legal advice to either party, and I do not decide the outcome. Each party is encouraged to have their own attorney review any agreement before signing.
