Telephone Consultation: Frequently Asked Questions

Most people reaching out aren't sure exactly which program they need, and they shouldn't have to be. That's what the Telephone Consultation is for: a short, focused call to understand your situation and point you toward the right next step, before you commit to anything further.

What Is the Telephone Consultation?

A 30-minute call to understand your situation and identify the right program. The goal is straightforward: map what's actually happening and what to do about it, so you leave the call with clarity rather than more open questions.

What Happens on the Call?

You'll describe what you're dealing with, in your own words, without needing to have it perfectly organized beforehand. From there, the conversation focuses on identifying the pattern at play and which SAMI Group program, if any, actually fits your situation. It's a diagnostic conversation, not a sales pitch.

Do I Need to Prepare Anything Beforehand?

Nothing formal. Come ready to describe the situation as clearly as you can. If you have documentation, dates, or specific incidents in mind, having them loosely organized can help, but it's not required to get value from the call.

How Much Does It Cost?

The Telephone Consultation is $175 for the 30-minute call.

What Happens After the Call?

You'll leave with a clear recommendation for the right next step, whether that's the Assessment & Action Plan, a specific training program, direct mediation services, or something else entirely. There's no obligation to book anything further; the call is designed to give you clarity regardless of what you decide afterward.

Is This the Same as the Assessment & Action Plan?

No. The Telephone Consultation is a shorter, conversational call focused on direction, identifying the right path forward. The Assessment & Action Plan is a more structured session that produces a written action plan. Many people start with the consultation and move into the assessment from there, though some go straight to the assessment if they already have a clear sense of their situation.

Who Should Book a Telephone Consultation?

Anyone unsure where to start. If you already know exactly which program you need, you can often book directly. But if you're dealing with a pattern you can't quite name yet, or you're not sure whether mediation, anger management, relationship skills training, or something else fits your situation, this call is built to answer that question first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Telephone Consultation confidential? Yes. As with every SAMI Group program, confidentiality is treated as foundational, including on this initial call.

Can the consultation fee apply toward a program if I sign up afterward? Ask about current credit options when you book, since this can vary depending on which program you move into.

How quickly can I get a consultation scheduled? Consultations are typically available within a few days of reaching out.

What if I'm calling about someone else's behavior, not my own? That's a common reason people book. The call can help clarify what's happening and what your options are, regardless of whose behavior is the concern.

What to Expect Going In

The hardest part of addressing a difficult pattern is often just knowing where to start. The Telephone Consultation exists to remove that guesswork, thirty minutes to get a clear, honest read on your situation and a specific recommendation for what to do next.
