SAMI Offers Summer Workshops for Adolescents to Learn Stress & Anger Management Skills
Hermosa Beach, CA (May 24, 2007) – Anutza Bellissimo, Founder of the Stress & Anger Management Institute (SAMI), has announced a new summer co-ed workshop program to provide adolescents with coping skills, support and social skills. Led by Cinzia Canale, MA, CAMF, Lead Facilitator, the program is designed to help young adults recognize and normalize stress, anger, and improve interactions with parents, siblings, teachers and friends.
Program registration will occur through June 2007.
The first workshop runs from July 5 – August 23 on Thursdays from 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm and the second workshop runs from July 10 – August 28 on Tuesdays from 10:30 am – 12:00 pm in the Hermosa Beach office.
Program goals include: learning acceptable ways of controlling and expressing anger to avoid violent outbursts, gaining a better understanding of self, ways to effectively manage stress, and improve both emotional intelligence and communication skills. Participants will learn to develop a working understanding of anger / stress patterns and management, recognize the role of individual responsibility of changing unacceptable behavior, identify “situational” anger, and eliminate or minimize “person-directed” anger.
“I believe that if we can help our adolescents understand the power of positive stress and anger while in their relationship formative years, we can help them to have a better quality of life later as a result. Learning and integrating healthy communications patterns at a younger age makes understanding much easier in the long run”, says Anutza Bellissimo, CAMF.

The S.A.M.I. mission is to help each individual reach his or her potential by supporting personal objectives, enhancing stress & anger management skills, and facilitating exceptional education and counseling.
